Serving our country is not just something that we should expect our members of our armed forces to do," President Obama said, "That's something that we should expect all of us as citizens to do." Obama has urged all Americans to find a way to serve their country. Community service is one way Americans can "make this country stronger."
In keeping with President Obama's call for community service, Women Democrats is providing these links to websites that match volunteers with community service organizations. As volunteers we have the chance to act on our ideals and work to fulfill the goals of our mission statement. In an effort to raise our profile we're going to explore opportunities for the club to take direct action in the community. We'll alert members of any events or programs we'll be participating in.
